Pavitra Mind Hypnotherapy

A Calm, Grounded Approach to Hypnotherapy with Alexander Wood CHt

Pavitra Mind is a modern hypnotherapy and inner-work practice devoted to helping individuals reconnect with clarity, balance, and their own innate capacity for change.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle yet powerful way to create meaningful change by working directly with the subconscious mind — the part of you where habits, beliefs, and emotional patterns are stored. Rather than forcing change through willpower alone, hypnotherapy allows you to access a deeply relaxed and focused state where transformation can happen naturally and with greater ease.

I offer virtual sessions to clients worldwide, and if you’re local to the Los Angeles area, I’m happy to meet in person as well.

Hypnotherapy to Change
Deep-Rooted Patterns

I blend evidence-based hypnotherapy techniques with mindful awareness, guided imagery, and holistic insight to support deep, lasting transformation.

Many people experience hypnotherapy as a space of calm clarity, where the noise of everyday thinking softens and deeper insight becomes available. In this state, it becomes easier to release limiting beliefs, reduce anxiety, and build healthier patterns around specific behaviors.

I am guided by the core belief that every individual holds the potential for personal growth and inner freedom. My practice is founded on principles of compassion, integrity, and a commitment to doing no harm while helping each person on their journey toward their fullest potential and authentic freedom.

Hypnotherapy for Anxiety, Trauma and Subconscious Change

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process and it works by aligning subconscious patterns with your conscious goals to create positive change. It can support reducing anxiety and stress, improving sleep and relaxation, breaking unwanted habits and patterns, building confidence and self-worth, processing emotional blocks and past experiences, enhancing focus, creativity, and performance.

In hypnosis, you enter a naturally focused and relaxed state - similar to daydreaming, meditation, or becoming absorbed in a book or film. It’s from this state we can work more directly with habits, emotional patterns, beliefs, and inner resources.

Hypnotherapy is not about fixing something “wrong” with you. It’s about working with your inner intelligence. The focus is on understanding root causes, reframing internal narratives, and strengthening the mind–body connection. At Pavitra Mind, hypnosis is used as a respectful, therapeutic tool - always tailored to you, your goals, and your comfort.

You are never unconscious, never asleep, and never out of control.

What Hypnotherapy Is

  • A guided state of focused attention and deep relaxation

  • A way to access the subconscious mind, where habits memories, and emotional responses are stored

  • A collaborative process - you are always an active participant

  • A powerful tool for insight, emotional release, and personal growth

  • A natural state you already experience daily (like zoning out while driving or getting lost in music)

What Hypnotherapy Isn’t

  • Mind control or manipulation

  • Being “put under” or knocked unconscious

  • Losing your will, morals, or ability to choose

  • Being made to do or say anything against your values

  • Stage hypnosis or entertainment hypnosis

Common Myths, Gently Dispelled

  • “I might get stuck in hypnosis.” You can’t. Hypnosis is a natural state, and you can come out of it any time - just as you would from meditation or deep focus.

  • “The therapist controls my mind.” Not at all. Hypnotherapy works with your mind, not over it. You remain fully in control throughout the session.

  • “Only certain people can be hypnotized.” Most people can experience hypnosis. If you can imagine, daydream, or focus, you already have the ability.

  • “If I don’t remember everything, it didn’t work.” Change often happens beneath concsious awareness. Insight may come immediately - or unfold naturally afterward.
